Our History

The Rodeheaver Group was first formed as “Rodeheaver & Associates” in 1983 by Randle A. Rodeheaver, CPA. James M. Murray, CPA was admitted as Principal in 1984 and Denise L. Rinker, CPA was admitted as Principal in 1988. In 2016, The Rodeheaver Group, P. C. announced the addition of Lynn Flink, CPA, Brant Moorhead and Dave Shaffer, CPA as the firms’ new Principals. They brought over 25 years of additional public accounting experience and further strengthen the Firm’s ability to provide quality accounting, auditing, tax and business advisory services to the Firm’s diverse clientele. All three have worked for a top 100 accounting firm serving clients in the Morgantown, WV region. On January 1, 2021, the firm announced the addition of Kristi Newsome, CPA as a new principal and also the merger with Denny & Alastanos, PLLC, Certified Public Accountants. Kristi Newsome earned her CPA license in 2004 and has served as an extremely accomplished tax accountant and advisor in Western MD and WV communities for more than 20 years. Denny & Alastanos, PLLC was founded in 1979 and is located in Clarksburg, WV. The firm provides a broad range of tax, audit and attestation, bookkeeping, payroll, and business consulting services; with focuses in the construction, non-profit, and small business industries. With this merger, Denny & Alastanos brings individuals with the knowledge, skillset, and cultural values that are key benchmarks of our firm.

The Rodeheaver Group is located in Oakland, MD, Morgantown, WV and Clarksburg, WV; the firm provides audit and accounting, tax, and business development services to clients in Western Maryland, West Virginia and surrounding communities.
